shallow I must definitely be

as I still hope and want to like what I see.

Worrying now about their height

and whether from description they’re recognisable on sight.

Yet

what if they change their mind on me

and turn around instinctively.

But

It might turn out to be the perfect time

a connection made whilst sharing the wine.

go with the flow and come what may,

at the end of the date you can always walk away.
