I thought it would be a great addition to my blog to include a special feature on a Friday once a month – a contribution from something that inspires me, captures my interest or by someone else who doesn’t have their own blog but whose words I feel should be heard.
Today’s contribution is a poem written by Mr A a Good Friend and from his own experience as a new parent:
New Dad.
Being a Dad in the first few weeks
The one in the room to whom nobody speaks
Its all about Mum, baby and bears
Sit there quiet, nobody cares
So hows Dad? Nobody says
Even though you’ve not slept for days
In that corner is where you’ll sit
You’re just the Dad.
Deal with it.
